Nature the Base Of Everything

Nature is the base of everything. We are nature and so are all the plants and animals. Even buildings have a base of nature because asphalt and concrete come from natural things with man made types of things. Every thing is made of nature from the sandy beaches of California with the cold rolling blue waves, to the icy mountains of mammoth mountain sky resort, to the unforgiving heat of the sun in Death Valley, finally to the unmatched cold of Antarctica where many forgotten animals live. There is one thing in common though, they are all real nature. Nature is my "restore point" and these are the things I remember best about all these places.

The Beach- The cool water enveloped me in the 100 degree weather. The cold water felt good on my burning body. I waded in slowly with my friends watching me at our Junior Lifeguards camp. I went in and waited for "the wave" that I could body surf. I dunked my head quickly in the water for it was the only part of my body exposed to the sun and it started getting hot. It cooled down in the salty water's of Port Hueneme beach. I surfaced     to hear someone of our Junior Lifeguard members screaming. I tried to catch it and I did, or so I thought. I looked down and realized that I was on top of the wave. I looked down to see the wave crashing down as if it were suicide bombing. I went down towards the shore and fell. I fell into a pot hole where water surrounded me. All my directions were wrong and I opened my eyes into the murky water. I felt the sting of the water in my eyes and also as I tried to inhale. I reached the bottom and pushed off the sand and shot out of the water just to be hit by another wave. I reached the shore because the wave carried me. I hopped onto the sand my eyes burning, my mouth salty, and my nose stinging. I reached the sand to hear my friends laughing but all I could do was fall on the burning sand. I landed and yelped in surprise. The sand was burning hot and I jumped up and sat under the shade of the canopy. My friends saw the whole thing and laughed and I laughed along  with them. Ironically this is one of the memories I distinctly remember.

A sea Anemone at Leo Carrilo Beach Tide Pools the first Tide Pool I've been to

The Tide Pools- The creatures swim through the pools, small ones at that but still animals. We were on the rocks hopping from rocks to rock and every so often a wave would hit a rock and splash us. Creatures such as crabs, starfish, sea anemone, and sea urchin lurked under the rocks that we used as stepping stones. Mussels clung onto the rocks and anemone would try to eat our fingers if we stuck our finger into one of them. Urchins looked scary so none of dared to touch one of them. Every so often when the wave came in a small fish would appear in the tide pools. It was cool because we were able to see a anemone eat a small fish, It just swallowed it whole. We were also able to see a starfish move and eventually grab a mussel open it and then eat it. I found this really cool because its the natural cycle and this has really influenced me and started my career in my love for life sciences. I have always loved nature but I was able to see aquatic life and it has made me love nature even more. Therefore this is why I have added   the tide pools as one of my favorite places because it has given me a passion in life science and I hope I can be a life scientist when I grow up. 

Mammoth Mountain's Ski Slopes

Mammoth Mountain-  I have had many great experience in Mammoth but last years was the best because I was starting to get a hang of snowboarding. I was able to take jumps and sometimes carve. What also made this experience great was that it was thanksgiving and that we were with my dad's friends and we did many side activities. We got to go snowboarding a lot and I improved and had fun, but we also had a house right next to the slopes. Along with that we brought the XBOX so we were able to play video games with the older people and we all enjoyed ourselves while playing. Along with that we were able to go out and do things. We went around the town buying stuff with the money that one of the moms gave us($100 U.S.). First we ate sandwiches, at a famous store, then we drank coffee, after that we ate donuts, next we went to a snowboard shop and looked  at snowboards and goggles. After that we went to an art gallery because we thought they had an arcade. But instead there was a chocolate store where we bought some really expensive chocolates. It might be that this was my most current trip up to Mammoth, but I greatly enjoyed the trip because snowboarding and we also did many fun things there.

The Artist Hills one of my favorite place in Death Valley

Artist Hills- Death Valley, luckily we were there in the winter. The desert was beautiful because of the long stretches of land and no mankind. It was the perfect temperature because it was winter and it was great because my whole family was there.  One of my favorite was the Artist Hills because of its mountains of sand. The  colorful mountains were tall enough to be climbed with some energy but not lots. We would climb up and slide down or run, and fall. It was all sand though so we were able to fall and "die". The sandy hills looked like they kept going on forever. Suddenly I felt a tap on my back and a your it as I was climbing up a hill. I looked back to see my brother laughing and I fell on my back and slid down. I stood up and ran after my brother and desperately tried to tag him. My other brothers were talking at the top of another hill and I sneaked up and tagged them. Soon enough a huge game of tag erupted. We ran until we were exhausted then climbed up a extra big hill of purple and climbed up a big rock and sat down and rested.
We ran back to our parents when they called us and we looked down at our shoes to see multi-colored shoes. Thanks artists.

The Salt Flats of Badwater Basin

Badwater Basin- Another location in Death Valley, our first stop.  As we were driving through the vast sandy plains of Death Valley, I saw a snowy plain. I grew excited because I saw a lot of white and expected snow. I looked up to see a sea level sign and realized we were well below sea level. We arrived and I was pumped because I thought it was snow, not salt. But when we arrived I jumped into the white to feel something hard and very dirty. I saw everyone walking in it and I figured out it was salt, not snow. We walked and saw some very big chunks of salt, but it was all stuck into the ground. We picked up the small bits that were loose and threw them as far as we could. We soon got bored and when to go to the bathroom where there was a huge line. I waited for waht seemed to be ages. The bathroom was so full because it was the one bathroom for a couple of hours. When I felt like I was about to explode I was able to go and I felt better. We then headed on to our apartment and our journey started.

The Crater that I hope is a Asteroid Dent

The Crater- One of our last destinations at Death Valley. A huge crater sat at the bottom like the Grand Canyon. I looked down and was amazed. There was a walkway down to the bottom, but it was much to long. We just looked down and I felt amazed. Many scientists believed it was an asteroid. I like to believe it was an asteroid because it would be cool to know that I've seen an asteroid before. It's weird to think that a huge asteroid went through Earth's atmosphere and smashed right there and that I've been there. The thought of an asteroid is awesome. Truthfully I have always wished to see a giant asteroid and its crater that it made. I find the asteroid much more fascinating than an UFO. So I hope and pray that this amazing crater was truly an asteroid's crater.

The Arctic, beautiful during its good days

Arctic- This habitat has always been my favorite habitat. Many think the arctic as a cold, isolated, and nonintersting. The arctic may be cold, but everywhere has its bad weather(except for California) and the arctic is no exception. It has its sunny days where its no cold but not warm. Where you can go outside and just look at all the animals at work. But like all other places it has its goods days. I would like to go to the arctic for two reason: one the animals, two the ice. I once went to an ice museum and I saw many unique pieces of art. But I don't want to see man made ice; I want to see what mother nature has been able to form. I want to ice arches and ice rocks. Also I would like to see the icebergs because I've heard they are very distinct. Also the animals. The animals such as arctic foxes, bunnies, seals, narwhals, and best of all the penguins and polar bears. For my whole life the penguins and polar bears have been my favorite animal. Penguins are so fun, they love  tobogganing and do other interesting things and they are so cute. Polar bears are also huge and are muscular. But they have there fun side when they play with each other. All the other animals are cool like seals that sleep with one eye open, foxes that dive into the snow, and narwhals the unicorn of the sea. Lastly I would like to point out that you could possibly live in an igloo which is very cool. Personally an ice cave sounds like a really good idea. I've been in one and it reduces coldness. Now wouldn't YOU want to go to the arctic.

In conclusion nature has many beauties that are out there that you can see. I was only allowed to point out 7, but there are millions out there. Figure out what mother nature has created and you will respect nature. You will learn that everything is nature and that it is power. Nature has it's beauties everywhere and I hope I have ignited something in you that will make you want to look at the creations of nature. I hope your interest is sparked and that you look at nature in a different way and realize and figure out why you should respect it and love it. Thank You.
