During the first week of GLPS, our class watched a movie, The Princess Bride, a romantic adventure story. It is a old movie from the 1987 that is very entertaining. It shows humor and things that ordinary men wouldn't have, such as having six fingers. The movie was directed by Rob Reiner and he did a good job.
  
  Now for the summary, Princess Buttercup was a farm girl when Prince Humperdink wanted to marry her. Se didn't want to have love another time because last time her boyfriend, her true love had "died" to dread pirate Roberts. So when she was proclaimed princess, she ran away, just to be captured by Vizzini's gang, the gang who wanted  to capture her to start a war with the other country. Vizzini went to the cliffs of insanity, where the were followed by a ship, or Westley, the farm boy Buttercup had loved as a kid. After Vizzini's gang climbed the mountain the man in black, Westley, scaled the whole cliff. So Vizzini told one of his gang members, Inigo a skilled swordsman who was looking for the man with six fingers because he had killed his father. When Westley reached the top, there was an intense dual, but Westley was a little bit better and beat Inigo and kept him alive. Next he arrived at an area with many boulders. A boulder was hurled at him and he was wrestled Fezzik the Giant. Westley wins by choking Fezzik, or the actor Andre the Giant. He follows Vizzini, the last of the gang, and it dueled in a battle of wits. So Westley poisoned both drinks because he had built an immunity to the poison. After he wins he frees Buttercup and he makes fun of her. She gets mad and pushed him down a hill. Then Humperdink finds Buttercup and Westley figures out he had been getting followed. Buttercup then realizes its Westley and follows him down the hill and they go into the fire swamp.

    The fire swamp was a place with fire geysers, quick sand, and rodents of unusual size. Buttercup gets singed by a geyser, falls in quick sand, but Westley saves her both times. But when a rodent jumps onto Westley, he almost gets beat until a geyser burned the rodent. When they leave the swamp, Humperdink is there and he promises to Buttercup that Westley will be healed then returned to his ship. But Westley is actually thrown into the dungeon of despair where Count Rugen's machine was. It was a machine that to years away from the user. But Humperdink got mad because Buttercup only wants Westley and almost kills Westley by stealing 50 years. When the thief's Forest in cleared Fezzik found Inigo and they go and save Westley. After they save Westley Miracle Max saves Westley's life. They set  Fezzik on fire and invade the castle. They save Buttercup and Rugen dies to Inigo's sword. Buttercup marries and all is happy.

 I really like this movie cause its funny in a weird way. It also had good acting and parts where they seem stupid. It's great cause they make the romance easy going. The actors do a great job filling their roles, such as Andre the Giant, who played Fezzik. I find it ironic that the movie is a book inside a movie making it feel like you can't freak out because it is a book.

   I have learned three lessons: One is that bad leadership is the doom for many, that true love never ends, and that determination can turn bad things around, and with enough determination you can beat the most unlikely of foes. Overall it's a great movie and i greatly enjoyed it.
